The Minister for Tourism and the chief of Tourism Ireland must've been sorely tempted to turn cartwheels on the pitch at Na Fianna GAA club in Dublin.

For before their very eyes, Ireland's new Cultural Ambassador, Commander Chris Hadfield, was wielding a hurley and sliotar like a pro.

For the world's most famous astronaut (Chris has over one million followers on Twitter) to agree to promote Irish tourism is a serious coup for the industry, and yesterday he tried his hand at hurling for the cameras.
