Hostage to misfortune in a real-life melodrama

Actor Paudge Behan, son of Brendan Behan's widow, is outraged at murder case questioning, writes Emer Connolly

HIS voice was laced with anger and devastation. His inability to comprehend was apparent.

This was a man who had a point to make. A man determined to go all the way to ensure his reputation remains intact. Wrongfully caught up in a murder probe, these were serious allegations and this was no ordinary gentleman.

Paudge Behan took to the airwaves last week to vent his anger. The Dublin-born actor was questioned last weekend, on suspicion of murdering a 72-year-old woman in Italy, but claims this was without foundation. He is an angry man, keen to put the record straight.
