God save us from zealous theologians
Fear not. Bankers, developers and politicians may have vandalised the nation but, according to Cardinal Seán Brady, help is at hand: the theologians are coming to save us.
Speaking in Maynooth last week at a ceremony for theology graduates, Cardinal Brady lamented the absence of a theological perspective from public life and described growing demand for theology courses as "a tremendous sign of hope".
Yep, that's just what we need: an upsurge in authoritative discussion about the number of angels that can dance on a pinhead.
