Fiach Kelly: Mandarins, cucumbers and cold cuts leave a sour taste
CUCUMBERS, water and cold cuts was the unpalatable dish served up at the Department of Finance yesterday.
The cold cuts weren't a nice plate of pastrami with a bit of cooked ham on the side, mind you. Just a cold realisation that cuts have to be made, and the axe wielded quickly.
All the opposition were served was water -- and Michael Noonan was talking about cucumbers.
