THEY have replaced pub quizzes and cake sales as the most popular way for charities to raise money, but the ubiquity of the naked calendar -- immortalised in the film 'Calendar Girls' -- means it's now becoming more original and interesting to keep your clothes on.

Ryanair's €10 charity calendar advertisement featuring a group of stewardesses in their bikinis was banned by a Spanish judge earlier this month. It has raised over €700,000 since 2008. But it seems like the whole world is taking off its clothes. Last week a dozen Trinity College academics revealed their naked efforts.

They say: "For too long the Scholars & Fellows of Trinity College have been treated as just brilliant minds, nothing more than inner beauty and intellect.
