Dave Thomas: My union's good faith has been rewarded by betrayal

IN his article yesterday, Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin correctly acknowledged that public servants have already made sacrifices for the public good. Indeed, in 2010, the Association of Higher and Civil Public Servants recommended that its members vote Yes to the Croke Park Agreement.

This time around, however, we are strongly advocating that our members vote No to the current set of proposals.

Clearly things have changed – and for our members, they have changed for the worse.
