Daniel McConnell: No one is convinced by Labour's narrative
The pressure is on for Gilmore to stop the rot in Labour and salvage what he can.
Last week, on June 14, Breakingnews.ie ran a short story of just 167 words, saying that Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore continued to enjoy the "full support" of his deputy leader, Joan Burton.
She was speaking after the latest Irish Times MRBI poll had shown the party's support had slipped to just 9 per cent, as well as revealing Mr Gilmore's own popularity was the lowest of any of the party leaders.
His low personal poll rating has been a recurring theme in Sunday Independent/Millward Brown polls since tracking polls began in February.
