IRELAND may have taken centre stage at the gathering of eurozone finance ministers in Brussels but there were a few other pressing items on the agenda also.

And in the background, the mood music was decidedly downbeat despite Ireland's news.

While the groundwork was being laid down for Spain to exit its bailout, debt-riddled Greece faced new woes.
