CAROL FLANNERY from Ballina has found herself a job. In Korea. Just before Christmas last year, the young master of science sparked a heated debate when she wrote to this newspaper complaining that, because she could not find even a work-experience post, never mind a paid job, she was preparing to emigrate.
Now, the contents of the double-barrelled Budget will be of purely academic interest to her, as it will be for the tens of thousands of Irish graduates who have emigrated, or plan to do so.
"Like all graduates of my generation, I am stuck," she wrote. "Taoisigh, past and present, I lay the blame at your feet. You had a job to do, but you failed."
