At least I'm no longer a debt zombie, says mum of two

JILLIAN Godsil this week becomes one of the first distressed borrowers to enter the new bankruptcy process.

The mother of two, who has a crushing €1m mortgage debt, has been told it's her only option. It comes only months after she had been on the brink of availing of new insolvency rules introduced last September.

But, like many other distressed borrowers in a similar situation, she cannot afford to enter the insolvency process.
