Anne Harris: Is Lowry banished from the FG circle of trust?
TD is having a torrid time after the tape revelations, not that you'd learn about it from the national broadcaster
Michael Lowry is so used to playing the victim, I suspect he has no set of skills for when things genuinely go wrong for him. As they have in recent weeks.
Firstly, his plans for a money-spinning casino in Tipperary were shattered by Minister Alan Shatter. Then he let it be known he is being sued by his accountant for €1m in fees relating to the Moriarty tribunal. Finally the Revenue raided his home last week.
These things are all clearly unrelated. But Michael Lowry has always seemed to have a divine dispensation to ride roughshod over our laws and orders. So, from where he stands it must be bewildering to be cast out from the family which tolerated him through all his transgressions.
