Aisling O’Connor: Good riddance to 'meggings', white stilettos and very silly grey hair

Aisling O'Connor

THE sun prepares to set on a year that many will be happy to put behind them – from austerity measures and a summer that never arrived to the runaway trend that was a close-knit family of 'jeggings', 'treggings' and 'meggings'.

Granted we've next to no chance of being out of the woods economically in 2013, and the weather will always be, well, Irish, but the New Year doesn't look so bleak if you consider that it brings a new season in fashion.
