1955 Viaduct at Cahir, Co Tipperary, collapses; two killed.

1974 Train crashes into the rear of another at Gormanstown, Co Meath; two killed.

1975 Wexford-Dublin train is derailed at Gorey because of damage to a bridge caused by a lorry crash; five killed.
