'We're still under that 5%,' say female woodwork teachers in Ireland, describing the challenges towards women in gender stereotyped roles. Roisin Curtis and Jessica Lynch are two female woodwork teachers out of a total of 65 women in this career across Ireland. There are more than 1300 male woodwork teachers in Ireland. We asked them about the challenges of being a woman in this field and why anyone is capable of anything if they have the opportunity and encouragement.
