The Red Hot Chili Peppers entertained 57,000 fans in Croke Park on Tuesday night. We doubt Sinéad O'Connor was backstage.
In his autobiography Scar Tissue lead singer Anthony Kiedis revealed how he was left devastated when Sinéad dumped him in the early 1990s.
"We would drive around and listen to music and kiss and whatnot, but she wasn't exactly letting me all the way in the door. This went on for weeks and it became the most wonderful, non-sexual relationship I've ever had and I adored her," wrote Kiedis, before he said the Dubliner abruptly ended the relation-ship. Intrigued The Diary rang Sinéad: "This is just pure fantasy. I never even kissed Anthony Kiedis. He did try it on with me once -- but it was at the most inappropriate time. It was all purely platonic."
Sinéad spoke from a sunshine holiday with husband Barry Herridge in Majorca with kids and nannies.
