Oh Yes It Is! – Ireland's pantomimes this festive season

Cinderella: The Gaiety Theatre, Dublin

The Gaiety has done Christmas Panto every year since 1873 and this year it is the old favourite Cinderella, starring David Glynn-Crowley as Prince Charming.

Opens December 2 for a six-week run.

Red Riding Hood: Everyman, Cork

The lovely old Everyman Theatre in Cork stages Red Riding Hood, with Cork's favourite Dame – Jim Mulcahy.

December 8-January 6.

Snow White & The Adventures of Sammy Sausages – Tivoli Theatre, Dublin

Panto veteran Alan Hughes, Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh and Big Brother Star Brian Dowling all appear in this cheeky update of Snow White.

December 12-January 13.

Jedward & The Magic Lamp – Olympia Theatre, Dublin

The twins are Panto veterans themselves at this stage, and return to their home town to star in a reworking of the Aladdin story at the Olympia. Parents, bring earplugs.

December 19-January 16.

Beauty And The Beast - The Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick

The Limerick Panto Society present Beauty and The Beast.

Snow White & The Seven Dwarves – Town Hall Theatre, Galway

The 34th Annual Renmore Pantomine, starring the best of Galway theatrical talent and kids' group – the Renmore Smurfs.

December 29-January 13.
