Lunch with... Lucinda Creighton

Age 32

Best Known As TD and Minister for State for European Affairs, a rising star in Fine Gael.

Also Known As One of the most high-profile women politicians in the country and one who is not afraid to speak her mind.

Family Her late father, John, was a bookmaker, her mother, Mary, was a teacher and she has one sister, Niamh. Lucinda grew up in Claremorris, Co Mayo, but now lives in Dublin with her husband, Fine Gael Senator Paul Bradford.

Before Politics Lucinda was a very early starter in politics with young Fine Gael and working for the Democratic Party in New York during her student years. She has a law degree from Trinity College, is qualified as an Attorney for the State of New York and was called to the Irish Bar in 2005.

Outside of the Office Lucinda has run the Dublin Marathon and plays tennis.

Public Image A country girl who's taken to Dublin life, driven, ambitious, stylish but not flashy. Conservative on social issues, out-spoken on the need for reform.

Likes Twitter, Europe, not apologising for her views.

Dislikes Cute-hoors, Fianna Fáil, parish pumps, the "sure, it'll be grand" attitude.
