Limerick brothers Owen and Moley O Súilleabháin (left) should have been on the red carpet for the premiere of Steven Spielberg's War Horse this month.
Last year it was reported that the sons of the supremely talented Micheál O Súilleabháin and Nóirín Ní Riain had landed cameos in the epic after Spielberg saw them performing while on holiday in Ireland.
Soon afterward, the brothers, who call themselves Size2Shoes, travelled over to the UK for the shoot.
"We filmed our scene last September; Steven wanted us to play characters, and sing a song in the village scene where the army take away Joey, the horse," said Owen.
Alas, it was not to be...
"We had a ball filming, but then Steven called us up to say that he had to cut the scene. He said the scene was too good and it made the rest of the film need more songs; so he decided to cut it."
Never fear -- the ET man remains a huge fan, as does another famous pal, actor Russell Crowe, who is helping the duo record their second album. Check them out at www.size2shoes.com
