The memory of the late, great Jeff Buckley has been rather besmirched in recent years. First, his appalling mother, Mary Guibert, committed the ultimate act of betrayal and released demos that Buckley was going to destroy before his death, and then, well, who can forget the fact that so many of those X Factor idiots who dedicated their version of 'Hallelujah' to him, when they should have been prevented by law from even mentioning his name?
Now a new biopic of his life is planned and Twilight's Robert Pattinson is rumoured to be playing him.
Guibert, however, retains creative control, so hope for the best.
But really, expect the worst with that woman involved.
Ping Pong might not be the most exciting sport in the world, but at least it inspired the memorably daft Balls Of Fury (2007) about a former pro ping-ponger who enters a life and death tournament to avenge the death of his father at the hands of a truly demented Christopher Walken. Or something.
Memorable quote: "Ping pong is like a fine, well-aged prostitute. She is cruel, laughs at you when you are naked, but you keep coming back for more, and more! Why? Because she is the only prostitute I can afford."
