Will all be harmony at The Gigli concert?

How life moves irrevocably forward. Holly Carpenter and Cian Healy were once one of Ireland's most romantic couples.

Then that ended.

Last Thursday rugby legend Cian was in Xico on Upper Baggot Street with some friends. The following night, Holly was in the same hip hang-out with some pals.

There but for 24 hours ... their paths would have crossed over soft lighting and some desperately hip music and, perhaps a flame might have reignited.

On the subject of things sparking anew, Michael Colgan and Tom Murphy will definitely have hearts aflutter at the opening night of Murphy's The Gigli Concert at the Gate on Tuesday night. Murphy and Colgan, the moustachioued guru of The Gate, infamously had artistic differences at Colm Toibin's 50th birthday party ten years ago.

Given that Colm is celebrating his 60th next weekend your diarist wondered was he going to invite Colgan and Murphy back for a repeat performance, In any event, Colgan and Murphy - whatever about Toibin - will be present on Tuesday, as will King Luvvie himself Fintan O'Toole, Jim Sheridan, Robert Ballagh, Aoibhinn Garrihy and Ingrid Craigie, among many others.
