My all-time favourite weekend away is in Dingle, Co Kerry, my wonderful father's home county. I love it there, and it's where I spent much of my childhood. When I was 16, I remember being in Dingle when I got my Leaving Cert results.

We always stay in the incredibly friendly Dingle Skellig Hotel, as it has a superb kids' club - the appropriately named Fungi Club, which many of our children have loved down the years. I especially love when I go with Steve, and as many of the eight children who will come too. I completely relax there, and when I look out on the majestic Dingle Bay, I often think how I would be happy to stay there forever. If only I could get the Prime Time studio moved there, I might never leave!

We love the Dingle Dolphin Tours, with the friendliest boatmen on the planet, and I remember all of my children laughing in wonderment when Fungi - the world's most famous dolphin - appears. He always does.

The children always loved the climbing wall at the Play at Height Adventure Centre, where they spent endless happy hours, particularly if it was raining. For the adults, there are great walks, and Slea Head for my cycling-mad husband.

Dingle has the best pubs, including O'Flaherty's, where we've spent many a fabulous evening listening to Fergus O'Flaherty and other great traditional musicians. Dingle is also overflowing with some of the best restaurants in the world.

I work most weekends with my radio show and then the summer TV chat show, so weekends away are very precious when they happen.
