Now that the recession is almost over, people can feel free more once to go on foreign holidays without guilt. Am I right or am I right? You might think that Irish designer Virginia Macari and her controversial Nordic love-god husband Kas Dahl have no pressing need of some hols as they live in sunny Marbella. Be that as it may, they and their young Thor are jetting to the South of France in July for some more sun, sea and sand. They will stay in St Tropez for a week, combining a bit of work (Virginia's new swimwear collection) with play. In the meantime, Virginia and Kas were spotted dining a deux recently in Villa Tiberio on Marbella's Golden Mile. Last weekend, the couple were in Finca Besaya up on the hill overlooking Marbs with four (only four?) friends. Maybe, on second thoughts, Virginia and Kas don't need a holiday on the French Riviera?
Meanwhile, Bernie Cafolla was in Marbs for the weekend. She jetted down last Friday and is scheduled to fly home this morning . . . unless, that is, Bernie checks the weather in Dublin before she boards and decides to stay on to top up her tan in sunny southern Spain instead.
As the banks used to say to property developers during the boom - and why not?
