St. Maarten's Princess Juliana Airport is known as one of the world's most dramatic - and dangerous - routine airplane landings. Why? Because the runway is short, and it's bookended by lush Caribbean water and mountains.

Crowds of spectators line Maho Beach every day to take photos of approaching aircraft, and the most spectacular of them all is KLM's 747 from Amsterdam.
