A 50-year-old woman, who claims to be a human rights lawyer, was arrested after launching into a furious and racist tirade because she was refused a bottle of wine on board a plane.

In the video, uploaded to Twitter by a fellow passenger, the woman, who appears to be from Britain, is seen shouting expletive-laden threats at Air India staff.

The blonde, bare-footed woman yelled that she would "p--- all over" the flight attendants in court, and called a female staff member a "Indian f---ing money-grabbing b------", who she threatened to "turn inside out".

The passenger, who appeared to be flying in Business Class, also claimed to be a "leader of the f---ing boycott movement" and said she would arrange a boycott of Air India because they refused her a "wee bottle of wine".

The incident took place on an Air India flight from Mumbai to London Heathrow last Saturday.

Boasting about her alleged legal cases, the woman is seen shouting at a staff member who is believed to be one of the pilots.

In the video, she shouts: "'F--- off! I'm a f---ing international criminal lawyer and a barrister. You will be p***ed on in court!'

"I work for all you f---ing people...

"The f---ing Rohingyas, the f---ing people of all Asia, for you, I'm an international criminal lawyer.

"Don't get any money for it by the way. But you won't give me a f---ing glass of wine, is that correct?"

One of the passengers who was on board in the AI-131 flight told The Sun: “The woman was seated on her seat. After gulping down few glasses of wine she went to the lavatory and burnt a smoke but unfortunately the smoke detector didn’t set off.

“She came back to her seat and gulped down some more...wine and asked for more when the flight attendant refused her demands.

"It was then she turned unruly towards the flight attendant and started with the verbal spat.”

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the woman was taken into custody after landing.

A police spokesperson said in a statement: "At approximately 1.30pm on Saturday, 10 November, a 50-year-old woman was arrested after an Air India flight had landed at Heathrow Airport.

"She was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order, common assault and drunk and disorderly and taken to a west London police station.

"She was subsequently released under investigation."
