Ryanair is continuing its winter airfare offensive with the launch of a 'Midweek Madness' sale across more than 450 routes.
Another week, another Ryanair flash sale.
Today, the airline announced the release of a quarter of a million seats for sale from €9.99 (each-way) for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The 'Midweek Madness' sale is available for booking on its website (ryanair.com) until midnight on Thursday, November 12.
This summer, Chief Executive Michael O'Leary predicted the "mother and father" of airfare wars following IAG's €1.36 billion acquisition of Aer Lingus.
In the past fortnight, Ryanair has launched 500,000 seats for sale at €9.99, and one million seats for sale at €15.99, taking square aim at its rivals.
This third offering is more limited, however, with just 250,000 seats released at the sale price - and travel confined to less busy, midweek periods.
The sale travel period is also tighter, from November to January - whereas previous sale fares were available for bookings until March 2016.
Aer Lingus is also running a sale, with seats to Britain on offer from €19.99 and Europe from €29.99, for a travel window of December to April.
Other European airlines, taking advantage of low fuel prices and increased demand spurred by improving economies, are expected to follow suit.
