The Immrama Festival of Travel Writing continues to draw the biggest names in the business, with Robert Fisk and Charley Boorman confirmed for 2015.

The multi award-winning journalist and presenter will be joined by Jonathan Shackleton - a lecturer, family historian for the famous Shackletons and veteran of many Antarctic trips.

The 13th annual Immrama Festival takes place this June 11-14 at various venues in the heritage town of Lismore, Co. Waterford.

Literary audiences can also enjoy travel writing workshops with author Paul Clements, E-Publishing with John Dwyer and talks and explorations with Harry Bucknall, historian Donald Brady and Gerard Taylor.

A literary breakfast will take place with Antonia Bolingbroke-Kent, who will be discussing her book, ‘A Short Ride in the Jungle: The Ho Chi Minh Trail by Motorcycle’.

Tours of the usually-closed Cotton Library, housed at St Carthage’s Cathedral - which began from the private collection of Henry Cotton - will also be on offer.

Immrama has a reputation as a festival punching way above its weight, with previous speakers including Pico Iyer, Michael Palin and Sir Ranulph Fiennes.

The weekend also sees a host of fringe events, a farmers' market, cricket matches and free family fun and entertainment in the town’s Park.
