This is the footage from inside a flight that made an emergency landing yesterday in Long Beach, California.

The JetBlue flight departed from Long Beach, Los Angeles County for Austin, Texas yesterday morning.

Shortly after take-off, the pilot was forced to declare an emergency and make the decision to turn back after noticing a problem with one of the plane’s engines.

Officials have reported that Flight 1416, which took off at approximately 9.15am, experienced over-heating in one of the engines.

The Airbus A320 jet climbed to an altitude of about 9,400 feet before beginning its descent and circling back for an emergency landing, an online aircraft tracker reports.

The footage shows passengers place their oxygen masks over their faces as the plane makes the sharp descent.

A separate video uploaded online shows the surroundings of Long Beach, California as the plane makes its landing.

The videos have amassed over 120,000 views already.

The pilot landed the plane safely at approximately 9.30am to cheers and applause from the passengers.

Passengers, relieved with the safe landing, uploaded the footage online shortly after the incident.
