Euro 2016: Ryanair adds 21 extra flights for Irish group games in France

Ryanair has launched a wave of extra flights for Irish fans hoping to fly to Euro 2016 from Dublin, Cork and Shannon.

The extra flights have been added due to "record demand", the airline said.

Airfares had been skyrocketing since the tournament draw last Saturday, with Ryanair flights from Dublin to Paris Beauvais rising to €256.99 one-way on June 12 - almost six times the €35.99 fares still available a week previously.

The new flights will cater for Ireland's three group games against Sweden in Paris (June 13), Belgium in Bordeaux (June 18) and Italy in Lille (June 22).

One-way prices for the new flights range from €125.99 (Paris to Dublin/Shannon, June 14) to €256.99 (Dublin to Paris, June 12) as we publish.

"Nobody wants to be like Scotland and miss out – so Ireland fans should log on to Ryanair.com and book these football flights before they sell out,” said the airline's Head of Communications, Robin Kiely.

Tour operators are expected to announce package prices this week.
