Budget New York: How to score two-for-one attractions in NYC
Big Apple on a Budget
A new NYC Attractions Week is set to offer two-for-one deals on some of New York's top visitor hotspots.
The promotion will run from January 17 to February 5 of 2017, offering two-for-one tickets to around 70 tours, museums and cultural events.
Tickets go on sale on January 5, and you can sign up to receive more information ahead of time on nycgo.com/attractions-week.
The full line-up has yet to be revealed, but Independent.ie Travel understands it will include MoMA, One World Observatory, Gray Line CitySightseeing New York Bus Tours, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, New York Water Taxi, On Location Tours, Madame Tussauds New York and the Brooklyn Museum.
January and February can be fiercely cold in the Big Apple, but the post-festive slump also means they are the cheapest months for visitors.
Hotel rates tend to be at a low ebb at this stage of winter, and NYC & Company runs a host of promotions, including NYC Restaurant Week (Jan. 23 – Feb. 10), NYC Broadway Week (Jan. 17 – Feb. 5) and NYC Off-Broadway Week (Feb. 27 – Mar. 12) aiming to boost visitor footfall during the off-season.
And that's not even starting on the January sales...
