Aer Lingus has been voted third 'most-loved' airline in Europe, based on Skytrax customer reviews.
Skytrax, a UK-based air transport rating organisation, released its list of the world's 80 'most loved' airlines based on customer reviews on its air travel website.
Users of airlinequality.com rated airlines based on seat comfort, onboard services, food and drink, in-flight entertainment and value for money.
Aer Lingus ranked third in Europe, behind Aegean Airlines and Lufthansa, and 17th overall - with Ryanair "improving considerably" to rank 41st overall.

“We are delighted to be named the third most loved airline across Europe," said Mike Rutter, Chief Operating Officer with Aer Lingus, responding to the news.
"Since this award is based on reviews, it’s an even greater accolade for Aer Lingus to know we’re getting it right according to our guests on-board."
He cited the airline's customer service reviews, along with product enhancements such as its new Business Class cabins, premium check-in and Express Bag Drop at Dublin Airport, as factors in its improvement.
