Jordan's 'get away from it all' home - yours to rent for just €530 a night
Holidaymakers are flocking to spend a few nights in a stunning Irish seaside villa described by Academy Award-winning director Neil Jordan as his "dream home".
The villa in Castletownbere in west Co Cork - totally refurbished 15 years ago - is proving a major attraction on Airbnb where it is now available for rent at a fee of €530 a night.
Jordan and his wife Brenda are now based in Dublin but over the past two decades used the Waterfall property in Castletownbere as their "get away from it all" home.
They lovingly restored the property to its 19th century glory while also installing every conceivable modern convenience.
The Jordan property is now available for short-term lettings on Airbnb - and boasts a stellar rating amongst those who have booked it.
Every guest who has stayed has left the property a maximum five star rating.
One holidaymaker said he was reluctant to leave an enthusiastic review - because he didn't want anyone else to discover how incredible the property truly was.
Boasting stunning ocean views, the property was built in the 1840s and overlooks Bere Island.
The villa has six bedrooms and four bathrooms.
It is set on five acres of landscaped, wooded and walled gardens.
The villa also features its own small beach and even a river with a waterfall.
