Dundon hotel bags international award
Celebrity chef Kevin Dundon said he has always strived to "deliver excellence" in his Co Wexford hotel - which has just been voted the best of its kind in the world.
Dunbrody Country House Hotel in Arthurstown, which Dundon owns and operates with his wife Catherine, was voted the best luxury country house hotel in the world by online travel bible, Luxury Travel Guide.
The hotel received the accolade for its "authentic charm, relaxed ambience and top-class dining experience".
Speaking about the award, the RTÉ Modern Irish Food presenter said: "Since opening our doors in 1997, Catherine and I have strived to deliver excellence in all we do here at Dunbrody House.
"This award will hopefully focus increased interest in the Hook Peninsula, an idyllic part of the country. It marks the start of an exciting year ahead for us and our team at the hotel."
The annual Luxury Travel Guide Awards celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry. Voting is opened to its half a million subscribers worldwide.
As well as accommodation, the hotel offers guests a spa and cookery school.
A 'Bed & Breakfast Retreat' at Dunbrody Country House is currently priced at €95pp, with a residential one-day cookery course from €225pp.
