"My advice to anyone looking to get out there is to do it within what is comfortable for you. The outdoors should be accessible to everyone.”

Mel McDermott spent several years working in retail management in London, before returning home to Ireland in 2017. She was suffering from depression and burnout. Determined to find a new way of life that would bring her joy, she tried a hike in the Dublin Mountains. In the middle of a blizzard, she realised she’d found her medicine.
