Take a look at this Captain Morgan’s hot chocolate.

Its creators, The Paddocks bar in Clonee, Dublin, describe it as both a dessert in a cocktail.

These clever folk have taken the humble, warming hot chocolate, and spiced it up with a shot of rum, cream, nutella and toasted marshmallows.

Maria Giurgila, from The Paddocks, said the cocktail adds a theatrical experience for drinkers and diners.

"It’s Cadburys hot chocolate to begin with and then Nutella to make it hazlenutty, then one shot of Captain Morgan's, and then cream, and then marshmallows and then we torch the marshmallows at the table."

“Some people just have a starter so they can get a dessert. We have desserty, indulgent cocktails. Our dessert menu is three pages long, this is one of the boozy ones."

“We’re just offering them something else, because I think maybe a hot chocolate by itself can be a little bit boring. So torching them at the table is a little treat. We make them without the Captain Morgan's for children and they love them as well."

“It’s something interesting for this season,” she added.
