The make up artist on the loves of her life including her only daughter and the doctor that saved her eyesight.

The person

Niamh - my one and only daughter, who has made my life so colourful

The memory

It's so hard to choose, but one of sadness was the untimely death of my mum, and, on a happier note, the birth of my daughter

The moment of the day

When Niamh is in bed and I come in for a goodnight kiss and cuddle with Darcy the dog, and it is priceless

The song

The Wind Beneath My Wings was my mother's favourite song, and it has special meaning for me

The movie

I still love The Sound Of Music - it's still magical after all these years, and you can sing along

The hero

Dr Paul O'Brien, who fundamentally saved my eyesight a couple of years ago, and Dr Paul Murphy, who is a pain specialist at St Vincent's. Both great guys

The book

The Way to Love by Anthony De Mello, a special little book

The outfit

My 50s-style, black, frou-frou dress by Marushka - it could take me absolutely anywhere - and I have to mention my knitted mink coat to complete the ensemble

The accessory

My glittery glasses by Kirk, until Darcy, my dog, got her teeth into them

The gadget

The Kenwood Smoothie 2Go

The pet hate

Gum, cigarette butts and dog poo on the pavement

The friend

The one who has never let me down or judged me. You know who you are

The beauty product

Make Up For Ever HD Elixir, a serum, which I use daily under my make-up

The holiday

An open-top car trip from San Francisco to LA

The piece of advice

KISS: keep it simple, stupid

The drink

I love a strong mug of Irish breakfast tea with milk

The Hotel

La Colombe d'Or, in the village of Saint-Paul de Vence, on the Cote d'Azur

The Bar

My sister, Karen, owns The Mayfly Inn, which is in Ballinafad, Co Sligo, near Boyle. I have to give her the plug, so do call in and say hello

The hobby

Dancing. I'm participating in Strictly Against Breast Cancer at The Convention Centre, for Breast Cancer Ireland, on November 29

The part of the body

I have grown to love my eyes, as they have been through so much trauma

The celebrity

I have worked with so many celebrities over the years, but it is always a privilege to work with Emmylou Harris

The virtue

Forgiveness, kindness, empathy.

The vice

The smell

Of spring in the air

The taste

Satay chicken from Saba
