What food brands on TV are children most familiar with?

Below is a list of the top 20 food brands viewed by children aged four to 17 on Irish channels. Those in bold are likely to be banned from children's programmes under the new proposals.

Across all Irish television channels, adverts for food and drink are the most watched by Irish children. Of these food advertisements, ads for prepared and convenience foods, dairy food products (and substitutes), as well as confectionery are the most watched.

Most of the breakfast cereals listed above and all of the confectionery will fall into the "banned" ad category and won't be advertised during children's programmes if the BAI proposals go ahead. However, if your child watches daytime shows like Judge Judy (TV3), Home and Away (RTÉ 1), The Steve Wilkos Show (3e), they will still see ads for fast food, pizzas, cheese and so on under the new proposals.
