Send your style dilemmas to stylemma@independent.ie

Dear Stylemma,

I just had my second baby a few months ago and I have been working really hard at getting back into shape. I'm holding off from buying any clothes, as I am still not quite where I want to be, size-wise. I don't want to invest too much in clothes at the moment, but I am desperate to ditch the maternity jeans. Can you recommend any reasonably good jeans for around €50?

Jeans used to be the Achilles heel in Penneys' sartorial arsenal, but in the last year or so, the denim bar has really come on. It has J Brand-channelling skinnies from €13 in every shade and with varying degrees of embellishment. We also really recommend the 'Molly' jeggings at River Island, €50. They are more substantial than your average jegging and are nicely high-rise, which will give any lingering mum-tum a good bit of support.
