River Island’s latest advertising campaign gives children with disabilities centre stage.

The brand recently launched its Spring/Summer 2018 collection in what it described as a “progressive campaign”.

The campaign features child models who are a "group of diverse children, all inspiring, all unique", a spokesperson told

"The Kids campaign [champions] a core group of diverse children, all inspiring, all unique, that resonate with, and beyond, the River Island audience," she said.

"This campaign joins the most topical conversations of today in a playful and empowering way, using the graphic language of labels to make its point."

"This is a progressive campaign for us and feels even more significant as we enter 2018, our 30th year trading as River Island (and 70 years overall!)," the spokesperson added.
