This Insignia really wants to be a SUV
THIS is the first picture of Opel's attempt at an Insignia 'crossover' estate.
The Sports Tourer has higher ground clearance, all-wheel-drive and under-body guards to protect it from scrapes.
It will make its debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September. The latest Insignia has higher ground clearance than its estate stablemate and beefs up its image with prominent wheel arches, lower body cladding, and dual exhaust tailpipes.
They claim the all-wheel-drive will give it exceptional grip and sure-footedness.
Driving it is a 2-litre CDTi diesel (163bhp) and a direct injection 250hp 2.0-litre SIDI petrol.
Prices and spec levels will be announced in September.
