Taking a 1989 SEAT Ibiza from dull pink back to bright red is no easy job and SEAT Ireland are making a series about it

Episode one

Back in 1989 we had a General Election which seen the Progressive Democrats entered coalition with Fianna Fáil to form a new government and at the end of June Charles Haughey resigned as Taoiseach, remaining on in a caretaker capacity. Later in the year Fair City started on TV and still manages to hang on. My Left Foot was released going on to become an Academy Award winner.

Meanwhile SEAT had come to the country with the Ibiza and now it's becoming a little legend. SEAT Ireland have found a little 1989 model in fairly good condition and they have been fixing it up while making videos of the various stages.

It's interesting to see it take shape and it's also brilliant that this little car didn't end up in a scrap yard like so many others did before.

When it's finished Indomotoring will be popping down for a little test drive of the Ibiza and we'll be making a video.

Best of luck to SEAT Ireland, Automotive Team and Paddy Comyn with the car.
