Peugeot sets out its stall on price with new 308

PEUGEOT has announced prices and trim levels for its new 308 family hatch.

Ex-works prices start €18,990 for the entry-level 1.2-litre (82bhp, 114g/km) Access version. Standard equipment includes air con, front electric windows, six airbags, Bluetooth, cruise control with speed limiter, LED daytime running lights.

Active adds dual zone climate control, electric handbrake, rear parking sensors, 9.7ins touch screen, 16ins alloys, rear electric windows, front fogs, full-size spare wheel.

Allure adds 17ins alloys, front parking sensors, electric/folding mirrors, full LED headlamps.

There are three petrols and three diesels with the 92bhp 1.6-litre diesel on just 95g/km. Next spring there will be a 1.2-litre three-cyl turbo petrol with 110bhp or 130bhp. Also coming is a BlueHDi model with emissions of just 82g/km. There will also be 6spd- automatic gearboxes.
