New diesels for 5-series
BMW's 5-series is to get a new generation of 2-litre diesels this summer.
The 518d and 520d versions will power both the saloon and touring (estate) versions and emissions will be as low as 109g/km.
The entry-level model generates 150bhp (up 7bhp) while the 520d is up 6bhp to 190hp.
The automobile giant says the optional eight-speed automatic gearbox helps the 520d saloon to return as much as 68.9mpg (Touring 62.8mpg) while emissions drop to 109g/km (118g/km).
