New Corolla to kick off under €21,000
THE new Corolla goes on sale today and Independent Motors understands it will cost from around €20,995 for the entry level 1.33-litre petrol.
There is also the excellent 1.4-litre D-4D diesel.
Expect the usual three grades – Terra, Aura and Luna – and the car will be the first Toyota to have the new Touch 2 system.
The brand is expected to put a lot of emphasis on the fact it will have the lowest CO2 figures (99g/km) for the small-family saloon segment.
This is the 11th generation of the world's best-selling car.
As we can see from the pictures, it looks a lot different to the current one.
Toyota says there is more rear passenger legroom and luggage space because the wheelbase is 100mm longer.
There's also lots of in-car technology including the latest 6.1-inch colour touch screen multi-media Toyota Touch with rear reversing camera and Bluetooth technology.
