my side of the road

I'm just wondering if we have lost the ability to acknowledge a good deed or a display of manners on the road.

Are we so engrossed, arrogant or rushed that we can't muster an appreciative wave?

These past few weeks, I have, for once in my life, been a little bit considerate. Must have been the good weather. I've gone out of my way to allow drivers get out from side roads, change lanes in front of me, slow down or stop to let shoppers cross with their trolleys.

I'd say on a good day I'd be lucky if half bothered to even recognise my existence, never mind raise a hand or smile in acknowledgement. Have we lost the art of road manners completely?

On the evidence of what I'm seeing, I fear we have.

Tell me what you think, or of your experiences.
