my side of the road
I object resolutely to having to pay €1 to put air in my tyres.
And do it in 15 minutes, too.
I know it costs money to put such a facility there at a petrol/diesel station.
I also know we have come to take the presence of air and water facilities for granted. However, look at the goodwill and passing trade it brings. I'm sure it pays back many times.
So I will not be returning to at least one east-coast filling station. Not if I had to get down on my knees and blow the tyre back up myself. It is not the money (well, it is too); it is the principle. And the blinking tyre was flat within an hour, so I had to go and change it anyway.
