MINI is set to unveil an eye-catching new concept car that will be something of a blueprint for future design.
According to reports, the concept car – an electric crossover – will be shown next month.
The concept will lead the way for future MINI models and will line up alongside electric versions of the 3dr hatch and Countryman.
The car will be built in China and will provide the “first full preview of the new design language for the next-generation all-electric model family”.
As part of the new drive, there will be a strong emphasis on sustainability so there will no longer be leather in the interiors.
A number of current models are reportedly set to go.
For example, there will not be an electric version of the 5dr hatchback while reports suggest the Clubman estate is unlikely to be replaced.
And the plug-in version of the Countryman is another likely to come under pressure.
