GM pledge to honour warranties and back-up to owners of Chevys
IRISH owners of Chevrolet cars have been reassured that General Motors will continue to honour warranties and provide servicing back-up for the vehicles.
It will provide parts for the next 10 years and servicing will be provided through other General Motors dealerships.
The promise follows the announcement that GM is withdrawing the Chevrolet brand from mainstream sale in Europe within two years.
It will continue to sell the Corvette in Europe, but not cars such as the Aveo, Captiva and Trax.
GM will now concentrate on its Opel and Vauxhall brands.
Just a couple of years back Chevrolet was on the point of returning to Ireland.
