Exalt-ed plans for Peugeot as PSA aims to cut model numbers
PEUGEOT'S parent company, PSA, is planning on cutting model numbers, pushing Peugeot upmarket and creating a special Citroen DS brand.
It's all in the name of a more profitable future and on Sunday we will catch a glimpse of that in the shape of the concept Exalt.
The 340bhp plug-in hybrid 5dr saloon concept will be unveiled at the Beijing auto show.
It is seen as highlighting a future design direction for the brand.
Built on the same platform as the new 308, it is 4,700mm long and weighs 1,700kg.
It has a 270bhp, 1.6litre petrol engine and a rear axle-mounted 50 kW electric motor.
