Dreaded delivery charges, death traps and mad mad parking

Eddie, I know you have highlighted it before but why do we have to put up with 'delivery and related charges'. Why can't garages tell us what the total cost will be? They are the ones who would be kicking up stink if others were not 'transparent'. Keep up the good work. Ben, Thurles

I was shocked recently to read your article about the number of cars on the road that have been 'written off'. I know moves are afoot and well done to all concerned for moving things on. But what about all those that are already on the road? It frightens me to think so many people could be at risk.

How much time and teaching is devoted to parking for learners? And how many full-licence drivers can manage to slot a car into a decent space between two others? My estimate is that about one-in-three can do it without having to go back and forth for ages. Or worse still, give one of the cars either side a scrape. And men are as bad as women. Any suggestions?
