Conal: a true gentleman
One of Irish motoring's true gentlemen has passed away after a long illness. Conal O'Brien died on Saturday and is being buried today. Lord rest him.
He was an important figure in the industry for the past 40 years. He was a founder of the OHM Group and developed companies which represented brands such as Jaguar, Land Rover, Saab, SEAT, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Daihatsu, Alfa Romeo, DAF Trucks, MAN trucks and Hyster lift trucks. As many as 260 were employed.
He was a warm, gentle person, keenly interested in everything and remarkably sharp.
Deepest sympathy to his wife Rose Mary and family – Niall, Iseult, Eoin, Conn and Rory.
